The qualified candidate will be working with one of our most important populations, veterans, coordinating care for behavioral health and primary health needs. The role also provides education and/or consultation to clients and their families.
This position provides a great opportunity for a self-directed veteran to make a significant contribution to the larger care team.
We are seeking a Veteran Services Coordinator to:
- Collaborate with other behavioral health and primary health professionals.
- Connect clients to resources.
- Work with partners (VA, hospitals, home health, pharmacy, etc.) to develop referral relationships.
- Work with Sinnissippi's marketing department to develop materials specific to veterans' services.
- Develop and deliver training focused on special needs of veterans.
- Speak to community groups about veterans' services.
- Consult Human Resources staff to ensure that recruitment efforts are designed to include sources targeted to veterans.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and other health professionals.
- Ability to effectively engage veterans and their families.
- Familiarity with social/human service practices, confidentiality, and risk/malpractice issues within health care settings.
- Experience and comfort with public speaking.
- Experience with military health care systems would be ideal but not required.
- Computer expertise required to use email, internet, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay: $24.71 - $28.73 per hour
