Sinnissippi Centers is looking for an eager and qualified individual to work as a Psych Coordinator in our Mt. Carroll Office. They will work with youth, families, and adults at Sinnissippi's Sterling location providing effective treatment for individuals and families with emotional and behavioral health needs.

The responsibilities of this position are to provide psychosocial assessments to individuals seeking office-based behavioral health services.

This role provides expert psychosocial assessment, brief, targeted intervention, and individual therapy for social, emotional, and environmental issues that impact the client/family's ability to benefit from care optimally. The role also provides education and or consultation to patients and their families.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for a self-directed mental health clinician to make a significant contribution to the larger care team. Working as an independent healthcare provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to clients while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team.

We are seeking a Psych Coordinator to:

• Work closely with our prescribers to offer client care and follow-up.
• Perform med checks and take client vitals for appointments.
• Discuss medications and psychotropic medications with clients.
• Collaborate with other staff, clinicians, and medical professionals in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide brief evidence-based interventions.
• Provide short, but intense follow-up.
• Connect clients to resources.
• Use outcome-based models to track client improvement.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and other members of the care team.
• Ability to effectively engage patients in a therapeutic relationship, when appropriate.
• Experience with screening, assessing, and carrying out treatment plans for common mental health disorders.
• Working knowledge of differential diagnosis of common mental health disorders.
• Working knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments for common mental health disorders.
• Basic knowledge of psychopharmacology for common mental health disorders.
• Familiarity with social/human service practices, confidentiality, and risk/malpractice issues within health care settings.
• Bachelor's degree and/or nursing license required; and previous clinical experience.

Salary: $51,405 - $59,758
