Sinnissipppi Centers is looking to hire a full-time clerical staff member to be based out of our Dixon Rt 2 office. Our clerical staff greet clients, answer a busy multi-line switchboard, file medical records, monitor paperwork compliance and assist clinical staff with all aspects of excellent service to clients.

Objectives

  • Coordinates client appointments, check-in and check-out, and answers client questions
  • Provides telephone support to clients, families and community members who call the behavioral health call center
  • Conducts initial screenings and assessments in person or over the phone to assess client needs
  • Schedule and build appointments; keeping in mind scheduling guidelines and varied staffing schedules
  • Schedule clients as directed by Clinical staff
  • Greet clients and families and provide information
  • Obtain accurate demographic, insurance, and care related information
  • Retrieves high volume of incoming calls, screens and directs to appropriate personnel or department
  • Collect and post payments, sliding scale payment calculations, and all monies due
  • Verifies and/or updates personal information; address, insurance information, etc.
  • Obtain required client forms that need to be updated as needed
  • Maintains medical electronic records
  • Supports all clinic and clinical support areas of organization to include: Adult Treatment, Youth Treatment, Substance Use Treatment, Psychiatric, Specialized, Community Related and Crisis Services
  • Routes incoming, outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes
  • Maintains privacy of protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as scanning, filing, faxing, photocopying, and collating
  • Cover clerical at other clinical offices when needed

Requirements

  • Clerical experience in a confidential setting
  • Good keyboarding skills
  • Excellent customer-focused attitude
  • The desire and personality for working with the behavioral health population
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to travel to other offices as needed

Hours are primarily Monday - Friday 8-5pm

Pay: $16.66 - $19.03 per hour
